There are a number of types of craft excluded from the RCD, including:




Replicas of historic craft designed before 1950, using original materials
Craft built for own use and not sold or transferred within 5 years

Hence, a part-completed craft, which is completed and used by the owner for at least five years does not need to comply with the RCD.
